5 Steps to a Super-Productive Week

In this blog, I am going to share with you 5 Simple Steps to make this week and every week of your life freaking awesome.

Are you ready?  Let’s get started.

Step #1:  Set an intention for the week

Ask yourself "What do I want to accomplish this week?  What do I want to see happen?"

The best gift you can give your mind is CLARITY.  Once you are clear about what you want to accomplish this week, it’s time to move onto step 2.

Step #2:  Have a plan

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

So ask yourself "What are the 3 things I can do to achieve my goal or intention for this week?

Do some brainstorming and write down at least 10 things that you can do to move forward towards your goal, and from that list pick up the Top 3 No-Matter-What, I-am-Want-To-Do-It things, and you are ready for step 3.

Step #3:  Prioritize and take action

Stephen Covey so beautifully said, “Things that matter the most should never be at the mercy of things that matter the least.”

So, say no to distractions, and a Big YES to your priorities and your dreams.

The #1 difference between successful people and the rest of the world is – IMPLEMENTATION.

 All successful people are Action Takers.  Period.

 So, take action.

Step #4:  Focus & Reconnect to your intention

It is easy to get lost as the week progresses.  Your motivation and energy levels drop down, your goals take a backseat, and distractions take over.

So, it is highly important to stay focused and connected to your intention and goals throughout the week.

Here’s a simple technique to do that – Write down your intention for the week in a post-it note and stick it on your bathroom mirror and read it out loud every day first thing in the morning.  By doing this, you will be reconnecting to your goal every single day.

Step #5:  Evaluate & Appreciate

On Sundays, take 5 mins of “ME” time.  Turn off all your gadgets, find a quiet place in your home.

Take 3 deep breaths before you begin, then close your eyes and run through the entire week that went by in your mind.  Observe your week from a third person point of view.  Ask yourself “Did I achieve my intention for the week?  What went well?  What could have gone well?”

Appreciate yourself for the good work, for following through on things that matter the most to you.

Then, repeat the cycle - set your intention for the week ahead and make a plan.
